DC’s upcoming movie, Flash, generates much buzz and excitement in the entertainment industry. With its release date in June, Hollywood star Tom Cruise was lucky enough to catch a sneak peek at the movie and praise it.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO, David Zaslav, was so impressed with Cruise’s enthusiasm for the film that he arranged a private screening of Flash for the actor.
Following the screening, Tom Cruise called the film “everything you want in a movie” and “the kind of movie we need right now.” Cruise’s praise is consistent with James Gunn’s earlier comments, calling Flash “one of the best superhero movies ever made.”
About The Flash
The film’s basic premise is about Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), the Flash, embarking on a multiverse adventure, where he encounters various alternate versions of existing heroes and villains, as well as the introduction of new characters.
The movie also includes the return of multiple Batman actors, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, and Michael Shannon as the villain Zod from the Superman franchise. The Flash movie has been touted as a reset for the DC Universe, with the potential to become a curtain call for many elements of the old DCEU while also being responsible for setting the new DC Universe.
Flash’s ability to live up to the hype generated by its impressive cast and intriguing storyline is encouraging. The film’s exploration of alternate universes and the introduction of exciting new characters set it apart from its Marvel counterpart. While the MCU has used the multiverse as a plot device, Flash delves deeper into exploring the concept.
The Flash is expected to be a big event for DC; with Cruise and Gunn’s praise, the film is poised to become one of the best superhero movies ever. Its exploration of the multiverse and introduction of new characters make it a must-see for fans of the genre.
