Thor: Love and Thunder was supposed to bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase 4 to a conclusion, but that didn’t quite happen.
Thor, who is searching for inner peace beyond anything he has ever experienced. But, Gorr, the Butcher of the Gods, an alien assassin who wants to wipe out all gods, interrupts his retirement.
The biggest surprise in the narrative was Natalie Portman’s reappearance as Jane Foster. Still, there were other shocking developments as well. Jane Foster not only makes a comeback but also does so in character as the Mighty Thor, precisely as she did in the comics. The movie also highlighted Valkyrie, the current King of Asgard and the first openly gay superheroine in a Marvel movie.
Thor enlists the assistance of King Valkyrie, Korg, and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster to defeat the menace. To Thor’s amazement, Jane Foster mysteriously uses her magic hammer, Mjölnir, revealing herself to be the Mighty Thor.
Together, they set out on a dangerous cosmic quest to learn the truth behind the Butcher of the Gods’ retaliation and to put an end to him before it’s too late.
