The first installment of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the follow-up to the fantastic animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won the 2019 Oscar, has received its official Trailer from Sony. Every Spider-Man character, including Spider-Gwen, is shown in the first Trailer, including Miles Morales.
The first installment of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which will start playing in theatres on June 2, 2023, will be directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. Miles Morales’ voice actor, Shameik Moore, and Spider-voice Gwen’s actress Hailee Steinfeld will also be back. Additionally, Miles will battle Spider-Man 2099, narrated by none other than Oscar Isaac.
In a January 2017 interview with Indiewire, producer and screenwriter Phil Lord discussed this new film. He explained that Miles Morales, the lead character, would be stretched to the edge.
It was fun to have the confidence to go even more complex, push the bike further, and take Miles Morales to places you couldn’t imagine. Lord himself and co-writer Chris Miller explained to Entertainment Weekly why he divided this sequel into two parts.
Miles’ story is epic,” the couple said. We wrote what we thought the plot should be, and to our surprise, we realized it was two movies instead of one. We’re working on both as we speak. The second part will be released in 2023. We will sleep again in 2024.
