According to a report by Entertainment Tonight, Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik were spotted on a dinner date in SoHo, New York City, sparking rumors of a possible affair.
An eyewitness reported that the two were holding hands and kissing, appearing comfortable in each other’s company. Despite this, neither Gomez, Malik nor their representatives commented on the rumors.
This sighting comes after Gomez’s previous relationship with The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart ended quietly. Before that, in late December, an insider told Entertainment Tonight that Gomez was hopeful about finding love and was open to dating.

A viral TikTok video first sparked rumors of Gomez and Malik’s romance by user @klarissa.mpeg, where she shared text screenshots from her friend, who claimed to have seen the two on their dinner date.
It’s worth noting that Malik has a history of on-again, off-again relationships with Gigi Hadid, with whom he shares a daughter named Khai. The two reportedly split for good in October 2021.
