The Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, has been one of Marvel Studios’ most bizarre and successful creations in the comic universe. With his constant fourth wall-breaking and non-stop jokes, Deadpool has won the hearts of audiences worldwide.
In 2016, Deadpool made his cinematic debut, which was followed by a sequel in 2018 that was equally well-received. Currently, the production of the third chapter of the Deadpool saga is underway, with Ryan Reynolds set to reprise his role as the titular character and Hugh Jackman set to return as Wolverine, despite his last appearance being in Logan (2017).
Morena Baccarin On Whether She Will Return For Deadpool 3
However, one crucial question remains unanswered: will Morena Baccarin, who played the role of Vanessa in the previous two films and was the love interest of Deadpool, return for Deadpool 3?
In an appearance on the Inside of You podcast, the actress revealed that she had been approached by the production and expressed her desire to return to the role. However, she also mentioned that she had yet to agree on the terms of her involvement, and negotiations regarding her possible compensation are still ongoing.
“I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I’d like to be in it. They have called me about being in it. Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody’s trying their best, and doing their best. But it may or may not work out. I don’t know.”
Whether Baccarin will reprise her role in Deadpool 3 remains open, and it is unclear if the two parties will agree. Fans of the series will have to wait and see if negotiations are successful—the highly-anticipated third installment of the Deadpool franchise is set to hit theaters in 2024.
