There will be many new characters in the MCU in the future, including the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Ghost Rider. It’s just a matter of time until Keanu Reeves joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as one of Hollywood’s most adored action stars.
In 2019, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, claimed to have spoken with Keanu multiple times. There were numerous reports that he would play a significant part in the MCU.
Before MCU even began, Nicolas Cage played the role of Ghost rider in 2007 and again reprised his role in its sequel in 2011. Even though it was a box office hit, the reviews from reviewers were conflicting. Since the rights to Ghost Rider have been reverted to Marvel, It’s only a matter for a possible Ghost Rider film.
The studio wants to “find the proper method” to integrate Keanu Reeves into the Marvel universe. Kevin Feige has confirmed that the company has spoken to the actor several times about a potential MCU cameo.
Keanu Reeves was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel to discuss his new comic book, Brzrkr, about an eternal warrior fighting across the ages. A live-action film starring him and an anime adaptation of the comic are both in the works.
I may have lost my nerdy identity as I got older, but when I was younger, I was pretty nerdy with comics – Reeves said. Kimmel tells him, “I think it works like when you’re a kid. If you were a comics nerd then, and at 50 you still like comics, you are always a nerd”. Keanu laughingly admits, “Okay, I am! I’m a nerd.”
When Kimmel asked him which Marvel character a 10-year-old version of himself would like to play, actor Reeves said: Me ten-year-old, I think he probably would like to be Ghost Rider.
