The Princess and the Queen, the sixth episode of House of the Dragon, aired on September 25. With only four episodes remaining in the first season, fans are curious about what will happen in the upcoming episodes.
Small-time leaps, lasting no more than two years, have occurred since the debut of the first Game of Thrones spin-off, which explained events like the birth of the new Targaryen heirs, Viserys I, Aegon II, Aemond, and Helaena. They also demonstrated how Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen lost all respect for one another.
The sixth episode of the series jumps ahead another ten years. The adult roles of Princess Rhaenyra, played by Emma D’Arcy, and Queen Alicent, played by Olivia Cooke, are introduced during this period. The Velaryon siblings Lenor and Laena are also raised and portrayed by John MacMillan and Nana Blondell, respectively.
Since Jacaerys, Lucerys, and the youngest Joffrey are not Velaryon, which the queen recognizes and uses to label Viserys, the familial strife among the Targaryens has worsened. With these disagreements, Rhaenyra is no longer alone in the struggle for the Iron Throne. Now, the queen wants Aegon II, her firstborn, to take the throne at any cost.
This Episode will mark the last Major Character Change in House of the Dragon
The eighth episode, titled The Lord of the Tides, will reportedly provide a fresh and last-time leap, according to the latest information. The number of years is unclear, but there will inevitably be enough time for the children of Rhaenyra and Alicent to reach adulthood. Episode 8 will have the last significant Time Jump in the show. These are the ones that will be telling the tale throughout the 3 or 4 seasons of the show.
Release Date for Episode 7
The seventh episode, Driftmark, will air this coming Sunday, October 2. With him, we’ll see Aegon II, Aemond and Helaena, Jacaerys, and Lucerys as kids or teens for the last time.
