So many things happened in House of the Dragon Episode 8. In the most recent episode, a lot happened, from all the characters maturing to their ultimate forms that would endure until the conclusion of the series to King Viserys’s passing, which triggered the destined civil war.
Rhaenys questions the legitimacy of Rhaenyra’s children since she thinks Rhaenyra is responsible for her son’s demise. Vaemond, Corlys’ brother, lost his life because he referred to Rhaenyra as a wh**e and her children as bast*rds. Even though his condition has worsened, King Viserys continues to back Rhaenyra’s claim to the iron throne.

With the demise of King Viserys, supporters of Viserys’ first successor, Rhaenyra, are either executed or sent to jail. The usurper ruler Aegon II eventually takes over, with his sister Helaena acting as his queen. Criston Cole and Larys Strong are on Alicent’s side as she plans the rise of the Greens.
