While there is no official confirmation about the series, fans already imagine what it would be like to see Aegon take Westeros by force with the help of his dragons.
Despite recent disappointments for Cavill, losing out on roles in both The Witcher and the DC universe, fans believe that playing Aegon could be an excellent opportunity for the actor to showcase his talent.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Aegon, one of the greatest Targaryens, rode to Westeros with his wives/ sister, Visenya and Rhaenys, and conquered six of the seven kingdoms using their army and dragons. Aegon became the first king of the united Westeros and forged the Iron Throne to symbolize his authoritarianism over the other regions.
Whether or not Cavill is ultimately cast as Aegon, the news of the prequel has already sparked a lively debate among fans.
