The much-awaited trailer for the second installment of the sci-fi epic, Dune, directed by Denis Villeneuve, has been released by Warner Bros.
The sequel follows the journey of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, alongside Chani, played by Zendaya, and the Fremen as they seek revenge against those who destroyed their families.
The trailer introduces new characters, played by Christopher Walken, Souheila Yacoub, Léa Seydoux, and Florence Pugh, alongside returning stars such as Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem.
In the trailer, viewers can glimpse Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, the nephew of Baron Harkonnen, who Stellan Skarsgård once again portrays.
Denis Villeneuve compared the plot to a game of chess, with new characters introduced in parts two and one focusing on Paul Atreides and the Bene Gesserit and his experience of encountering a different culture.
In part two, viewers can expect more of the Harkonnen family. Chalamet praised Zendaya’s portrayal of Chani, the sequel’s main character, stating that she brought incredible energy to the role and had become like a sister to him.
