Marvel star Karan Soni has been announced as the latest addition to the voice cast of the highly anticipated Sony animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Karan Soni joins Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Cast
The Deadpool actor, known for his role as cab driver Dopinder in the Deadpool films, will be playing Pavitr Prabhakar, also known as Spider-Man India, the superhero of the city of Mumbai. In the comics, Spider-Man India is an alternate universe version of Peter Parker from Earth-50101. Last week, a sneak peek of the character was revealed from the Funko Pop line dedicated to the film.
Aside from the Deadpool films, Soni has also appeared in Safety Not Guaranteed, Betas, Other Space, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, and the Ghostbusters reboot. As a voice actor, he has lent his voice to projects such as Trolls 2: World Tour, Trolls Holiday in Harmony, The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib, and the recent Disney animated film Strange World.
Fans eagerly await the film’s release, which promises to take audiences on another thrilling journey into the Spider-Verse.
