An official trailer for Damien Chazelle’s upcoming star-studded drama set during the Great Depression, titled Babylon, has been released. On December 23, the movie will be widely released.
With his blockbuster 2016 musical La La Land, Chazelle, who was 32 at the time, became a household celebrity and the youngest person ever to win Best Director at the Academy Awards. He most recently served as executive producer of the musical Netflix series The Eddy.

The majority of the characters in Babylon are made up of fiction, yet real people inspired them. Margot Robbie, who portrays an aspiring actress named Nellie LaRoy, draws inspiration from the first “It Girl,” Clara Bow, for her role. Brad Pitt, whose movie hero Jack Conrad is modeled on people like John Gilbert, Clark Gable, and Douglas Fairbanks, is the star of the ensemble cast.
It is described as “a tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess. Babylon, which takes place in the late 1920s, It’s a story about the cinema industry and the switch from silent to talkies that combines elements of The Great Gatsby and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
