Daredevil: Born Again, a new Marvel series in which Charlie Cox will resume his role as the Devil from Hell’s Kitchen, was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. Although we don’t know anything about this project, the actor talked about the show’s tone during a panel at Comic-Con in Dortmund, comparing it to Deadpool.
Cox’s remarks not only suggest a Daredevil appearance in Deadpool 3 but also suggest the tone of the series is comparable to that of the Big Mouth films. “It would be nice. Because of the tone of our show, I think there’s a chance Daredevil will show up to Deadpool,” Cox said.
Daredevil: Born Again Plot
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Daredevil reappeared in the ninth episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (MCU). In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Charlie Cox said that Marvel Studios might revisit the character’s origins and retell and recreate tales previously portrayed in the Netflix Version. “Perhaps we can do that.” Cox will reprise the role of blind vigilante Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, for 18 episodes beginning in April 2024.
It’s a season 1, not a season 4, so it’s a whole new thing,” he said, which is the way to go. If you’re going to do it again, do it differently.
I love it. I loved every minute of it. And right now, I’m just thinking about the fact that it’s happening again; it’s starting again. And I am still determining where it’s going to go. I don’t know how much involvement I will have, I don’t know, but it feels like we were born again. And so I’m getting a second chance at my dream job.
The good thing about this is that we can retell some of the stories as they do in comic books. In a previous interview with extra, Cox appeared to hint that Marvel execs regard the next series as “a separate thing.” The release of Daredevil: Born Again is anticipated for 2024.
