Reimagining well-known movies or kid-friendly cartoons in the horror genre is one of the newest trends in independent horror filmmaking. And therefore, Bambi is Getting a Horror Adaptation from Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey Team.
A Horror Adaptation of Bambi
We are already familiar with Rhys Waterfield’s slasher adaptation of the well-known honey-eating bear, Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey. Now, Waterfield is all set to produce the horror version of the childhood Disney classic. Director, Scott Jeffrey, is working on the interpretation of the beloved 1942 Disney fawn, Bambi. In Bambi: The Reckoning, Bambi goes on a killing rampage following the murder of his mother. Jeffrey told Dread Central that his project would be a fascinating spin on the well-known story.
The film will be an incredibly dark retelling of the story we all know and love. Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix’s The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine lurking in the desert.
A group of students comes together to climb in the Swedish highlands. They are accosted by a sinister entity as soon as they enter the woods. They pay their respects to one of their own who died violently in the movie The Ritual.
Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield is currently at work on Scott Jeffrey’s horror adaptation of Peter Pan, which is similar to Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey. In an interview with TMZ, the latter provided some information regarding the project known as Neverland Nightmare.
Peter Pan will be a lot of fun because Neverland will be like a circus, and the whole thing will be a freak show. We’ll take a haunted look at some of the characters in the story, like Tinkerbell; she’ll be there.
