In the upcoming MCU film, one of the most crucial villains of Phase 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe makes its entrance, i.e., Kang the Conqueror. The new Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Teaser also hints at the relationship between Janet Van Dyne and Kang the Conqueror.
Peyton Reed, the director of the previous Ant-Man movies, committed to the heroic Ant, this time increasing the stakes even higher in his new feature film, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
In Quantumania, we will see Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) providing the main support while our protagonist, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), embarks on a brand-new journey with his daughter Cassie Lang ( Kathryn Newton)and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly).
This time around, all of them journey to the Quantum Realm for an unknown purpose, where they run against Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), one of the most problematic Marvel comic book villains ever, or at least in MCU after Thanos.
New Teaser reveals the relationship between Janet and Kang
Just a few hours ago, very little was known about this villain, or at the very least, the strategy used in the script to bring this figure to the big screen. In fact, a very intriguing Teaser from Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania was released on the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel, which makes it abundantly clear that Kang and Janet had already engaged in conflict in the past.
This is because Janet tells Hank that she has a secret to reveal and that there is someone she hasn’t told him about. In truth, even if this idea is extremely trustworthy, there are others that may apply.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, another important figure also makes an appearance. His name is Lord Krylar, and he is played by none other than Bill Murray. Lord Krylar once had a romantic relationship with Janet. The woman may not be referring to the villain when she makes the statement to her husband, but we will know for sure once we watch the movie, which will be released in cinemas globally on February 17, 2023.
