Antonio Banderas wore the black outfit in The Mask of Zorro in 1998 and The Legend of Zorro in 2005. Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones shared the lead roles in the Martin Campbell-directed Zorro movies.
After making his debut with director Pedro Almodovar, the first movie was a hit in the 1990s, launching the career of the Spanish actor, who went on to star in movies like Evita, Philadelphia, and Desperado.

In an interview with Comibook, Banderas stated that he was open to rebooting Zorro with Tom Holland. Antonio Banderas recently collaborated with Tom Holland in the 2022 Movie, Uncharted.
If they called me to do Zorro, I would do what Anthony Hopkins did for me, which is pass the baton – Banderas said when asked about the possibility of making a third film in the Zorro series, to the role of mentor Hopkins, in the part of the original Don Diego De La Vega, had in the movies.
