In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Helena Bonham Carter, currently working on the Netflix production Enola Holmes II, discussed the jury’s decision in Fairfax, Virginia, last June, finding Depp’s ex-wife, Amber Heard, guilty of defaming the ex-her consort.
Depp has been “completely vindicated” after winning the lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, who accused him of mistreatment.
Oh, I think it was ultimately vindicated,” Carter said. He’s fine now. Fine. My take is that Amber Heard tried to follow a trend. That’s the problem with these things: people will jump on the bandwagon because it’s trendy and want to be the girl symbol of the movement.
However, Bonham Carter has already defended Depp. The actress stated in an interview from 2020 that she thought the claims made against the guy who played Jack Sparrow made no sense. “I believe she caught that swing.”

Everyone carries their history of trauma and forms their own opinions from that trauma. You have to respect where people and their pain come from. You don’t all have to agree on everything; that would be crazy and boring. There is no aggression in what you are saying; you are just saying something based on your own experience.
With these remarks, J.K. Rowling’s ex-wife, Tim Burton, distinguishes herself from other Potter saga actors like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. The three main characters who did come out against Rowling’s attacks on the transgender community.
