As previously stated, production on Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff starring Ana de Armas, has begun. The actress verified this in a story on her Instagram. Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane, who plays the owner of the Continental Hotel, will appear with the actress in the movie.
Len Wiseman, director of the Underworld franchise and executive producer of programs including Swamp Thing, Lucifer, and Sleepy Hollow, will be directing Ballerina, a spinoff of John Wick.
Collider reports that the movie’s lead actress is already filming sequences of her in Prague. Keanu Reeves’s role has yet to be confirmed if this will be a cameo or a more substantial part.
The film’s producers are Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski, the saga’s director and master stuntman. At the same time, Keanu Reeves serves as executive producer alongside Kaley Smalley of Sketch Films (production company of Wiseman).
Despite having a budget of tens of millions of dollars, the trilogy has made $ 306 million in the US and $ 583 million globally.
Lionsgate’s most lucrative home video release in the previous five years, John Wick 3 – Parabellum, has grossed more than $323 million worldwide in theaters alone.
