Marvel had recently unveiled a brand-new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Tenoch Huerta’s character Namor, master of the oceans, will debut as a new hero in the MCU. The suit that belonged to T’Challa (played by the late Chadwick Boseman) will be worn by a new figure whose identity is currently unknown. Threats will be present for the fictional nation of Wakanda, including Namor: Emperor of Talocan, the undersea empire from Aztec mythology.
He will now be referred to as “Marvel’s Aquaman” on social media, although he first debuted more than two years before DC’s Aquaman. So, Marvel isn’t the only one who has been pinching DC’s Characters.
Bill Everett developed Namor in 1939. In the comics, he is the child of an Atlantean ruler and a British lieutenant. Namor makes his debut with Human Torch and Captain America. He has regularly worked together with the Avengers, The Cabal, Dark X-Men, Defenders, Defenders of the Deep, Fantastic Four, Illuminati, Invaders, The Order, and X-Men.
So who is Namor?
Namor, also known as the Sub-Mariner, is the current monarch of Atlantis. Son of an Atlantean princess and a human father who is a mutant hybrid. In his search for vibranium, explorer Leonard McKenzie uses explosive charges, unintentionally damaging Atlantis.
Princess Fen of Atlantis notices this and gets onto her ship to look into the prospective foe. However, she meets Leonard, falls in love with him, and gets pregnant. And that’s how Namor was Born, which means “Avenging Son.”
Namor is the king of Atlantis, and He can battle incredibly agilely in the sea, the air, and on land because of his pointed ears and the wings on his feet. He is genetically impervious to injury and ages incredibly slowly. He has a weapon that can cause tsunamis and destroy cities: Neptune’s Trident.
It will be intriguing to see how its history is told and fits into the MCU’s overall narrative structure. The release date of the movie is November 11.
