An underappreciated six-season ABC and TBS program was called Cougar Town. Bill Lawrence co-created the show, which featured Courteney Cox, Busy Philipps, Christa Miller, and other actors.
The town in Gulfhaven, Florida, is known as ‘Cougar Town’ because the high school team mascot is a cougar. Jules Cobb, a recently divorced, faces the frequently humorous challenges of life, along with her teenage son, ex-husband, and wine-loving friends, who collectively make up her dysfunctional but supportive and caring extended family.
Several of them made appearances on the program thanks to Courteney Cox’s relationships with her Friends co-stars throughout the years. Let’s examine the famous Friends who appeared in the series.
Lisa Kudrow was the first Friends actor to make a cameo appearance in Cougar Town. She played the doctor who administered Botox to Courteney’s character Jules in the first season. While filming the program, she ended up dating Cox’s ex-husband, Bobby Cobb, and during her time on the show, she and Jules had a bit of a falling out.
In Cougar Town’s second season debut, Jennifer Aniston was the therapist for Courteney Cox’s character. The program’s co-creator, Lawrence, described Aniston’s character as a “get-too-involved-in-her-life sort of therapist.”
In Cougar Town, Matthew Perry played a love interest for Courteney’s character. Perry was the final guest star from Friends to appear on the show. He was the third.
Sadly, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were the only ones who never made a Cameo on the show.
