Taika Waititi is working on a new comedy series, and this project will see him collaborating with none other than Lisa Kudrow.
The primary cast of Taika Waititi’s Apple TV+ series “Time Bandits,” which will be helmed by an Oscar winner, has been assembled. The sitcom also welcomed Lisa Kudrow, who rose to fame for playing Phoebe Buffay in “Friends.”
Time Bandits will be a “reimagining” of Terry Gilliam’s 1981 film of the same name and is expected to debut in 2023 via Apple streaming.
Kevin, an 11-year-old history enthusiast, discovers a door to time travel in his room and sets off on an insane voyage through time and space with a band of thieves, where they meet historical heroes like Napoleon and Robin Hood. Upcoming performer Kal-El Tuck will portray Kevin in the television show.
The series, based on Terry Gilliam’s 1981 film of the same name, also features Charlyne Yi, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Kiera Thompson, and Rachel House.
