One of the most intriguing and innovative characters in the Marvel universe is Deadpool. Wade Wilson a mercenary with physical strength and extraordinary regenerative abilities who is deformed.
Because of his propensity to chat and joke perpetually, including breaking the fourth wall for comic effect and running jokes, the character is known as the “Merc with a Mouth.” Ryan Reynolds played the role of Deadpool in Deadpool 1 and 2. The third part of the trilogy is already in pre-production, and the star is growing more at ease playing the role.
Shawn Levy, a familiar face to Reynolds, who most recently directed him in Free Guy (2021) and The Adam Project (2022), as well as the director and executive producer of the critically popular Stranger Things series, will be in charge of helming Deadpool 3. The two had just left the Emmy Awards event when Variety decided to interview them. They were asked some rather strange yet intriguing questions.
Since the young Hawkins’ events are about to end, Levy was first asked how he works on the future of Stranger Things. His response is complete as he got to know Kevin Feige better and better. He shared some strategies for creating a successful “Stranger Things Cinematic Universe.” He responded precisely when asked if they had ever considered a Deadpool and Stranger Things crossover.
“It’s funny; Ryan Reynolds and I tried to figure out how to make a crossover between Deadpool and Stranger Things. We haven’t been able to make it work yet, but it remains on the table”.
