The upcoming film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is a highly anticipated milestone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by James Gunn, Guardians Vol. 3 can wrap up the storylines of some of the most beloved space-based Avengers.
However, it is still being determined if all characters will have the chance to close their stories correctly or if there will be a continuation.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora, revealed that her character will have a definitive farewell to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Saldana stated, “I don’t think this is the end for the Guardians, “It is the end for me, for Gamora.”
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the fate of the Guardians, Saldana envisions a possible future for her colleagues. While details are scarce, they could continue their adventures in a dedicated special or series.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, by Marvel Studios, is set to release on May 5, 2023. Alongside returning cast members, the film will also feature new additions such as Will Poulter, who will play the role of Adam Warlock for the first time. The movie will be executive produced by Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Simon Hatt, Nikolas Korda, and Sara Smith.
