The actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have grown over the years to heights that no other movie franchise has ever attained. Many Hollywood actors are currently competing for roles in the MCU. A lot of them expressed their wishes in interviews and on social media. Multiple actors have shown their interest in joining the MCU.
So here are 10 Actors who have Shown their Interest in Joining the MCU
Sadie Sink
Sadie Sink denied the rumors about playing a younger version of Jean Gray. However, she still stated that she was interested in a superhero role: “I’ve seen these rumors, but they’re not true. That said, who doesn’t want to play a superhero? If they were to offer me the ideal character, I could only accept! I’m not very savvy at the subject, so I don’t know which superhero would be available. Like: how many are still left? I don’t know, but I’ll keep an eye out anyway .”
Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain’s desire to once again be a part of the superhero universe was unaffected by the portrayal of Vuk in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The actress is a far more gifted performer than she has proven in the X-Men series, so she looks to the MCU for some atonement. Chastain aspires to play superhero roles, but she prefers the role of a villain because she thinks she will enjoy it more.
Lana Condor
Lana Condor played Jubilation “Jubilee” Lee in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). Condor is convinced that the opportunity to play the same X-Men character once more, but this time as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, exists in the future.
Zac Efron
Before Will Poulter was officially cast as Adam Warlock, Efron was the Fan choice to play the character. Also, a month ago, some online rumors claimed that Marvel was seeking a “Zac Efron person” for a part. The actor said during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show specifically about the report in question: “Really? Wow. They could have called me, I suppose.”
In a spring 2022 interview, Efron stated that he was excited about being considered for a role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.: “I love the Marvel Universe so much; I’ve been a Marvel fan practically since I started taking my first steps. If the right character came along and they decided to offer him to me, I would jump at the opportunity and accept immediately”.
Timothee Chalamet
For the part of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War audition, which later went to Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet also auditioned for the role.
Janelle Monáe
Janelle Monáe publicly announced in 2020 that she would like to join the franchise as Storm: “One of my dreams has always been to play Storm. I don’t know if she will appear in the Black Panther sequel, but it would be her dream to have her in that film. Many women have played Tempesta, and they’ve done an outstanding job. I would be honored to be part of that team of artists and do Tempesta justice .”
Simon Pegg
Simon Pegg was a candidate for the leading role in Ant-Man when the MCU first started. Beyond this little enigma, Pegg announced in 2018 that he would want to portray Captain Britain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the end, though, Paul Rudd was chosen by the studio, and he excelled in the role of Scott Lang.
Recently, the actor reversed course, saying he’s not in a rush to join the Marvel Universe. “I’m in no hurry to join the MCU or anything similar. I feel I need to be freer. Usually, you join these franchises and then stay with them for years. This might be a bit limiting for me .”
Mary Elizabeth Winstead
Mary Elizabeth Winstead auditioned for the role of Sharon Carter in Captain America: Civil War, which ultimately went to Emily VanCamp. But Winstead quickly succeeded in the superhero genre after portraying the Huntress in the movie Birds of Prey. But Winsted would have happily switched roles, given the movie’s failure in the DC Extended Universe.
Henry Cavill
Cavill did not hold back when asked if he had ever thought about switching from DC to Marvel. He said he would be happy to play a modernized version of Captain Britain. Just like Chris Evans did with Captain America, which helped make his performance iconic.
Keanu Reeves
